TIP # 1 WHEN IN DOUBT, LOG OUT.

Leaving your workstation unattended is the perfect opportunity for anyone to gain access to sensitive information on your device. Be safe and smart always remember to log out of your device.


TIP # 2 THE LONGER THE PASSWORD, THE STRONGER THE PASSWORD.

Change your password every thirty days, use 10+ characters include numbers, special characters. Do not use personal information for password.


TIP # 3 OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW

Old software is more vulnerable to getting hack, keep your system up to date with the latest versions of software. There are always new features that help to protect and keep your devices safe from Malicious cyber-attacks.


TIP # 4 CLICK IT FOR A TICKET

Not a seatbelt, the most common cyber-attack is online scamming which refers to making an online purchase whether it be tickets to a show, merchandise, or offered services; check to make sure the site is secure before entering any bank account, bank card info, or sending any personal information such as address, social security and phone number. Never save your bank or personal info to your device when making online purchases convenient, just think, you're making it convenient for the scammer as well.


TIP # 5 ENCRYPT IT OR SHRED IT & FORGET IT

When receiving or sending emails, documents, text messages with sensitive information remember to encrypt the files and provide the other party with the password to gain access. ** paper documents should be properly discarded via shredded.
